near Chance Harbour, Nova Brunsvic (Canada)

A 2km loop hike located on Belding’s Reef Nature Preserve named for the family who originally owned it, and for a prominent sandstone reef that juts out from the preserve into the Bay of Fundy. This land was donated to the Nature Trust of NB in 2004 by Mrs. Dorothy Haley in order to save the preserve’s natural features and to keep it available for local people to walk through and enjoy.

Panorama

Belding's Cove Lighthouse

A once fully functional lighthouse since downgraded to a navigation light powered by solar energy. Lighthouse Point lends itself to wide open views of Chance Harbour shoreline and the Bay of Fundy.

Entrance on the gravel roadway is actually a private drive but also serves as a Right Of Way for access to the trail.

For me, it was more on the difficult side. Quite steep at times for the beginner hiker.

Hello, Can you please remove the northern trail system? This is actually a boundary line and quite wet. There are now arrows that direct you to go right so then you avoid this area. If you have any questions you can send an email to the Nature Trust of New Brunswick :)
