near Ashby Folville, England (United Kingdom)
Did this with some friends (Karen and Phil) with a groupon meal at the end at the Carington Arms in Ashby Folville. Food and service was exceptional. You start the walk by walking through the village going by the church, about 100meters turn right and go straight ahead going down a farmers track that goes across modern bridge. You then leave the track and take a smaller footpath until you reach a cross junction (footpaths). Then turn right, continue until you reach Barsby. Go by the old red phone box, which houses a defibrillator as well as some books (library as well as a medical center in a phone box!) You then cross the road going down Main st, when the road bends take The Lane called The lane on the left. At the farm there are two footpaths, take the one that goes right,go around the farm. At large field with sheep in, turn diagonally right and go across the ruts in the ground, if you look hard you might see the footpath. The next stile is a bit overgrown with stingers so take care. Go across a few fields with long grass. Can be quite wet on the foot after heavy rain. The last field before you reach Gaddesby Brook is especially long. Cross the brook at a bridge and down a track to the Cheney Arms pub. Leave the pub and head towards the village green at the back of the green you will see a sign that says "to church and Ashby Follvile". Follow this firstly to the church, Once past the church you want to turn right onto the Leicestershire Round back towards Follvile. In the last couple of field you will have to navigate around some cows, I didn't have a problem with this but some people might. Karen! Just don't run! Go past the posh sh_t (sewage farm) and cross the road, once in the next field head diagonally across, go through a kissing gate between some houses, turn right onto a village lane and back to the Carrington Arms for dinner.
