This hike didn't live up to expectations, a lot of the trails are now closed for regeneration so we basically followed fire access and 4 wheel drive tracks.
We parked at the roundabout on Coalmine road, plenty of off road parking, there is a notice board showing the high lights of the area.
We followed the Alcoa boundary track to the Raven track ( now closed ) so onto the Powerline track which is a steep climb to the Ridge track , we followed this to the Shiney eye track, we then followed this one to the Dusty Miller track and to the Ridge View track ( which was being closed for regeneration between the Pipeline and powerline tracks we think, not sign posted as no entry) and then back to the Powerline track.
The highlight was seeing half a dozen deer.
Disappointing that a lot of the bush trails are now closed to walkers
