near El Mejdel, Mont-Liban (Lebanon)
We started our trail from Mejdel and went down towards the Nahr Ibrahim River. We wanted to attempt to cross it but the stream was very strong. We kept on walking by this side of the river until we reached an abandoned house, near Nab' Roueiss. We walked around it and finally crossed the river on a concrete bridge beneath the main road.
We continued our hike by touring inside the Aaqoura village, then we headed towards Saydet el Habes. Before going to the monument, we went up for some breathtaking views of the Aaqoura village. We went back to Saydet l Habes, took its stairs on the way down, and finally walked back the Nahr Ibrahim river segment.
Views are amazing (worth the elevation gain ;)), Nahr Ibrahim is pretty strong and beautiful during Spring. The crossing is a bit hard on the start. Either because the river is strong, or because of the tangled bushes on the way to the bridge.
