near Mazraat Kfardibiâne, Mont-Liban (Lebanon)
The last days of the fall are usually frosty and the weather tries to keep you indoors; today was not different but we set to walk the Kfardebian area.
Starting from the town's square next to the town's church, the trail took us down passing by an army checkpoint and then left to the apple orchards and some water springs. The trail went up to the Kfardebian ruins then up to hills surrounding the town then descended again to Faqra ruins - after passing the Faqra bridge and Al Mowasee - and on to the Ahlam resort and reserve area and back to our rides. The scenery was beautiful with the trees colors taking the full colors range of the rainbow.
The weather was cold in the early morning but warmed up later in the day with a clear and sunny skies.
A small beautiful pond with a small cottage next to it; nice to have a break and take the scenery in.
it is a subdivision with homes and a large area of protected forest made of chestnut, oak, Turkish oak, pine, cedar and other species.
