Long Option: The bike ride starts from the Temple of Apollo in the ancient city of Didyma. We’ll cycle over rocky hills through olive groves and wheat fields before passing through the picturesque village of Akkoy. From there, another dirt road leads us down to the Menderes Delta, full of rare birds and beautiful scenery. We’ll cycle through the delta, turning inland and heading towards the ancient city of Miletos on easy dirt roads. After visiting the ruins, we have another 20 kilometers of riding over the plains where we’ll focus on getting a good workout and enjoying the view of the mountains ahead. Our route ends in Priene, one of Turkey’s most scenic ancient cities. We’ll have plenty of time to visit the site and possibly enjoy a finisher’s buffet. The total distance is 60 km.

Terrain: This is a fairly easy ride over mostly smooth dirt road with just a few ups and downs; the only paved section of the route is the 5 km after Miletos and the short stretch through Akkoy.
