NEPAL is a small country largely occupied by the highest mountain range on the planet, the Himalayas, wedged between the Tibetan plateau and the plains of the subcontinent, between the giants China to the north, and India to the south.

It is a country of mountainous nature in whose territory there are, totally or partially, some of the highest peaks of the Earth, highlighting Mount Everest (8848 meters above sea level), as well as seven other so-called eight-thousanders.

Hindu religious majority, but the Tibetan influence is also noted culturally and religiously. Until 2006 Nepal was the only state in the world with Hinduism as the official religion.

Despite being a small state, compared to its huge neighbors, the country has a wide and diverse variety of territories, ranging from the humid wooded plains of the Terai, to the highest and iciest peaks of the earth.

A trip to Nepal is a trip to the world apart. You will be in the land of the powerful Himalayas, who for centuries have not only captured the dreams and aspirations of man, but have also given birth to innumerable legends and myths. Nepal is also a festival of majestic temples, stupas and other sacred shrines.

The trip has three great points of interest before enjoying a magnificent trekking:

1- We begin the adventure in KATHMANDU, the capital and largest city of Nepal. Located in the valley of the same name in central Nepal.

The city of Kathmandu gets its name from a structure in Durbar Square, called Kaasthamandap. The ancient city is characterized by the large number of Buddhist and Hindu temples and palaces and their huge number of images of cats, most of them from the 17th century. The historic center of Kathmandu remains, despite the earthquake of 2015, an open-air architectural museum that houses magnificent temples, pagodas, pavilions and medieval sanctuaries of the country.

2- CHIITWAN: The Chitwan National Park, is the first National Park of Nepal. It was created in 1973, and declared as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1984. It is a protected area of the lowlands of Terai, at the foot of the Himalayas. The meaning of Chitwan says it all, it means "heart of the jungle". It is a reserve with 932 km2 protected from forests, swamps and meadows full of populations of 700 species of wildlife such as the king cobra and the Indian python, many reptiles such as the marsh crocodile, other animals such as deer, monkeys, peacocks, kingfishers, herons, swallows or Siberian ducks. The Park protects several animal species in great danger of extinction, such as the Indian rhinoceros (single-horned), the Bengal tigers that is the largest predator of the jungles of Nepal and the hawks (elongated and thin, full-snouted crocodile, of innumerable teeth and a protuberance at the end).

3- POKARA: Pokhara is a city in central Nepal, on the shores of Phewa Lake at an altitude of about 827 meters above sea level. It is located approximately 200 kilometers west of the capital Kathmandu, and is the second largest city in the country. In this region the mountains rise drastically, and less than 50 kilometers there is an elevation from 1,000 meters to more than 7,500 meters of altitude. Three of the ten highest mountains in the world, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu, are located less than 48 kilometers (in a straight line) from the city, thus offering a landscape very close to the Himalayas. These peaks can be seen from the city. The city, whose name in Nepali means "lake", was forged in the seventeenth century as a trade route between Tibet and India.

    Buenas tardes.
