Any suggestions on increasing the accuracy of the readings (or perhaps less precision)? \\
On the Android recordings I am getting some wild elevation differences (relatively flat walk shows many hundreds of meters up and down, local motorcycle ride shows me going -40 meters below sea level). Have now set the GPS accuracy to 20m but not sure if this is the best thing to do?
Also, my locations seem to wander off-road significantly on occasion. Is there any way to correct this afterwards or to try for better coordinates?

Hi, gps that are in the phones are much less accurate than others. The accuracy depends heavily on mobile hardware and is much worse for elevations. The overall position (the coordinate) is usually good but the elevations needs more complex calculations. Sorry but I don't think you can do anything. Hopefully in the future the mobile GPS will be better.

I do not find that accuracy and percision are all that far off with my Android phone. I have the Casio Commando, a Verizon exclusive phone. I got it because of the stand alone GPS feature as well as the fact it is rugadized. My GPS works like a regular GPS, though it is not quite as powerful as dedicated GPS units are. In addition to the stand alone GPS, it also has the standard location services where it uses the cell towers to triangulate your position.
I have not found a way to change the accuracy settings on my particular phone yet. I use my for anything from biking to Geocatching to just using the GPS to find my way to and from somewhere new.
Using the elevation in the Wikiloc app is new for me and did find myself said to be 75 feet below sea leval on my way in to work today.
Also noted is that this is my first time using this app for its intended purpose. Till now it has just been sitting on my phone. On my way home I will see what that same spot says for elevation.
